What is a Spirit Guide?
Spirit guides are spirits who support our growth, help us complete our life tasks, and in general provide the spiritual assistance we need. Often we are spirit guides to others when we pass over into spirit. I personally believe we all have spirit guides and guardian angels and we choose them before we come to the earth realm.
Can a passed over relative be one of my guides?
I personally believe that yes a passed over relative can be a personal guide, I believe there are 4 different types of guides which we all have and these are:
Main Guide: This guide joined us at our birth and stays with us by our side through our lives till it is time for us to pass back over into spirit, although the main guide does step back from time to time to allow other spirit guides to come forward with their guidance the main guide will never leave you.
The Relative Guide: This is usually a person who knew you in this lifetime. They are the relative who helps you through day to day situations.They are the soul who greets you at the door when your time comes from 'transition' from life to death.
The Spirit Guide: This is usually a person you knew in a past life. Someone who is on the same spiritual level as yourself. This soul helps you with your higher purpose or mission in this embodiment. The karmic issues, the spiritual lessons, the gifts and talents you brought from the past into this life and so on. Their main purpose is to help you evolve your soul during this incarnation and to learn and grow.
Angel Guides: Everyone has a Guardian Angel watching over them, protecting them and providing a connection to the higher Divine Force. Angels are rarely incarnated beings. They are 'of the stars' and are the messengers of the Divine.
What is the benefit of having a portrait of my guide or angel?
A portrait of your guide / angel has several benefits:
It can act as a trigger for your own dormant natural intuition / psychic ability. By being consciously aware of who our guides and guardian angels are we are able to open the channel and communicate and receive wisdom and messages and answers to our every day dilemmas.
Our Guides greatly assist our personal evolution and growth.
How do you channel the guides / angels?
I have an established working relationship with my own guides. Using either a photo of the person or if at a psychic fair then in person I tune in to the personal vibrations of the person.
My guides link up with their guides / angels and between them they help me to produce a pastel portrait of the guide /angel thats working with the person at the time
What is a psychic artist?
Being a psychic artist entails communicating with the spirit world by clairvoyance (clear seeing) and clairsentience (clear sensing) this then enables the artist to portray the spirit communicator on to the materials used.
The spirit communicator can be the sitter's relatives, friends, spirit guide, guardian angel or even a much loved pet.
Why do people have portraits of guides done?
There are various reasons why I am asked to draw Guides. Some of the reasons are; That someone is new to the subject of spiritualism itself, they will in this case have been drawn into the fascination of the subject for a reason, perhaps they have latent gifts and have been led into finding out more. They may wish to learn more but do not really know where to start or indeed if they have any abilities at all. Many have been told of their Guides but have not seen them for themselves and a picture helps them to focus or think of them and indeed from that they can then put a face to this unknown being and begin to communicate more fully. Sometimes people ask for a picture of a Guide because they feel they have "lost their way" spiritually, maybe they have lost their faith or that life has thrown many obstacles in front of them and they simply do not know what to do next. There are many different reasons for having a picture of one or more of your Guides and more often than not you have the instinctive impulse to do this, this is in fact your Guide who is prompting you, trying to get you to recognise not only them but to give you information that you probably are aware of but have been ignoring.
